So we are very VERY close to games being released ESPECIALLY unfinished... as in missing huge swaths of content only for the intention being to fix it up later.

We have a few examples today...

I am predicting that THIS will be the future of gaming. We will expect that games will only be 50% done upon release.

Just like how today we expect games to not work at all upon release... and be fixed at least within 1 week.

I remember cereal games. I remember for everyone.

Methinks Paradox has been leading the way to a brave new world of barebones but heavily hyped games that are steadily improved by DLC, if you're willing to pay up repeatedly.

I can think of three kinds of "serial games:"
1. 90s shareware like duke nukem 1, 2, and duke nukem 3d, where the first episode was free and you got the rest when you paid for the game. These episodes weren't all that short, either. Each episode in duke3d could have been a single game in and of itself. (And I never finished any of them)
2. Games with sequels which may or may not continue the story, like mass effect, halo, fable, the elder scrolls, saints row, etc, or in not-necessarily-continuing-the-story ones, gta or final fantasy, for instance.
3. Modern 'episodic' games, where you need all the episodes to have anything resembling a complete story, and together have a play-length comparable to a single standard game, but which release as episodes one at a time and which you can pay for separately.

I'm not sure how much inspiration games in #3 have taken from #1 and #2.

Apparently a lot of vaporwave is actually... good.
Danceable and honestly enjoyable to listen to. Or maybe the vaporwave infection I contracted from the most retro of my friend group has just entered a new, possibly terminal stage? Who knows man. Might end up toppling goa, pystrance and dark/synthwave as... wait, to be honest I never really had a "favourite" kind of electronic music, just occasional tracks that appealed to me far more than others amidst the variety of stuff my non-metal friends listen to. But some of these tracks are actually great music, not just a bunch of retro samples and horribly 80s music kludged together ironically. Great stuff.

Although, why bother sticking with Vaporwave when you can jump straight to S I M P S O N S W A V E ? Oh gods that whole channel is fucking terrifying. Jeez.

Watching an anime reviewer and he is HORRIBLE! but also good... at the same time.

Can he please chose one or the other... Be a bad reviewer (like he used to be... I am watching him again after years of not doing so because he is an idiot) or a good one... stop moving between both several times in the same review.
