Yes that is certainly true.

There was also a lot of prostitution going on in Shakespeare time theater. You could certainly critique that... However this critique went further as to say that the people doing it were liars, were destroying social order, and a whole bunch of stuff...

But there was still prostitution so justified right?

Or rather... A problem that exists doesn't justify this crud. Especially when they just confuse the actual problem. Awareness without proper direction doesn't help.

Saw a book today aimed at primary school children. Title was something like "Combating Misogyny in Gamer Culture: Toxic Communities".

Ideological indoctrination starts young, eh? Not that I'm surprised when there are more Hillary Clinton: Great Leader biographies (both AB and CB) than there are biographies for most actual presidents (even discounting the ones forgotten by popular culture).

Sooo... The viewpoint the primary school children aren't being made aware of is :It doesn't exist? Or we shouldn't combat it? Or both? Am genuinely unsure.

Wow I am literally triggered right now.  I started posting angry things, *then* I started drinking hard, all over this thing that I really should not care about at all.  WTF.
Wasn't even related to the boyfriend thing, just... happened across a certain Bible verse in Skype chat with my friends.  And it's driving me crazy.  Why do I even care??
Except it's been a trigger for me ever since high school, when... oh.  I think it makes a little more sense, now.
