Doesn't that describe the attitude of just about every Blue Ranger ever? I haven't exactly been keeping up with the series.

Been browsing the games on sale at humble bundle and saw Front Mission Evolved.
Now i don't care about the game but i read the description and saw this.

"Featuring Hollywood style production values and a totally immersive storyline"

Then i realized i can't tell if they are joking or not with the description and don't know whether the game will be serious or a pisstake with giant robots and lol epic meymeys...
That's mainly because the word "totally" nowadays usually means the sarcastic opposite of of whatever something "totally" is?

Like...
Pandas are totally not endangered.
Being homosexual is totally not gay.
Setting someone's house on fire is totally not arson.

WTF happened to totally?
Did all those smartass game/cartoon protagonists managed to hijack the word and turned it into the memetic opposite?

Right?  I get why people say the new Battlestar Galactica was nothing like the original.  But then they say they preferred the original...

(Of course, new BG got pretty screwy in the last couple seasons.  Like a lot of shows, it started good and ended all over the place)
