Worth noting: AFAIK modern western slaughterhouses use a stungun and THEN cut the animal's throat. So.. the qualms about the stungun not being lethal enough are unfounded, I think?


Also and for the record:I do think that all these centuries-old religious rites surrounding slaughter/penile shortening/whatnot are highly dubious.  I also regard the JW's blood transfusion thing as highly dubious. I really hope we see the return of gladiatorial bloodsports in my lifetime.
With volunteers, of course- although the organizers could possibly offer competing as an alternative to a life sentence or some such, thus reducing the overpopulation of most prison systems and benefiting the spectators. That would be pretty cool.
