Not really imho. If you ask me Toady deleted his post because his suggestion was kinda erotic but didn't ban him for it.
As far as i can tell he banned him for his posts about trans people in this thread and the censorship was jsut a side thing.

Sonic survives a boatload of terrible games that would kill any other franchise tho (Just look at spyro for example. Poor guy is a zombie right now.)

I'd say mario is the only old plataformer/adventure game character that has truly survived and thrived in some way. Sonic is barely alive, megaman is deader then all hell, spyro is a rotting corpse along with crash bandicoot, gex, rayman and banjo & kazooie, conquer is a ghost that only manages to climb to a semblance of relevance because of the remake of conquer's bad fur day, etc. Only Mario is still a success (more or less).

Even donkey kong barely even exists as his own thing anymore, clinging to relevance through super smash brothers and mario kart.

Hard to say that a franchise that still pumps out:

- Merch.
- Comic books.
- TV shows.
- Games

Is really dead. Not held in high regard by most and memetically terrible but alive and kicking.
There is also a pretty hilarious WTF associated with the comics i'll share later because i already spilled enough WTF on this thread today.

He basically said that if you have major relationship issues, a good solution is to "re-imprint" on something else, namely Hentai.
