You know what, I'm curious so I'll update that post.

The Forum Games forum is made up of 6.67% IamanElfCollaborator, 5.80% kj1225, 3.67% GreatWyrmGold, 3.63% RangerCado, 2.97% Projeck37, 2.94% Sentient Bowtie, 2.92% Empiricist, 2.90% Twi, 2.84% USEC_OFFICER, 2.55% PrivateNomad. These ten users now only make up 36.89% of the forum, a slight increase in diversity. GWG is dropping predictably but he's still in third, and SentientBowtie is shooting up the ranks.
Darn it, I'm not on the list yet!

Also, *waves at Twi*

I wonder how the wordcounts compare, though? You could probably get a good estimate by randomly sampling a bunch of posts from the forum and then just from FG&RP.
I'm fairly certain that the average of the entire forum would be much higher than that of FG&RP - while the more technical games have fairly long wordcounts, the sheer volume of one sentence posts from the freeforms probably drags the FG&RP word average below that of the enter forum. We'd have to test this, though.

What would probably be better is mandating a much better minimum air quality. Not to speak against an asthma cure, but it's a very rare condition in places with clean air and a common or in some egregious cases majority one in places with bad air.

It isn't hypothetical... we have it, but the trial process is going to take a while.

What kind of statistical tests work well for data that's heavily skewed? I guess finding sampling mean/confidence interval/confidence level would work, especially since we have lots and lots of data.

Of course, I don't know much about statistics.

Even so, many times more people have asthma from polluted air than the baseline who get it even with clean air. More than that, a cure is probably going to come along with limits and complications to the individual being cured. As I said, I'm not against pursuing it or anything, I just think there should be an at least equal or even heavier focus on strict standards for air quality.

Apparently, the the old story about the Monitor's powder charges being reduced to half size at Hampton Roads is untrue. The 15 lb charges she was carrying were, in fact, the standard charges for 11" guns as specified by the 1860 regulations. Furthermore, her guns could have penetrated Virginia's armor had her gunners aimed for the waterline.

Are we including RTDs and Mafia posts, or only the main forum games forum?

GD's discussion threads attract fuckhueg walls of text, also succession forts often have really long stories with them, so I don't really think FG&RP is going to have longer posts on average.

That's distinctly frightening. It does make sense, too. If the supernatural is a thing, the Internet is too central to our lives not to be part of it.

nosleep has a weird "comments must be in-universe" policy, which seems a bit odd since it's a creative writing sub and proper discussion of what's written seems important but whatever.

While not great for technical feedback, it also allows the opportunity for further creative writing practice. There's a trade off there, but in my opinion the best thing for a writer is to keep writing.

I wonder if they might have some sort of "out of character" forum/thread/subreddit/whatever where actual feedback can be requested and provided.

Total side note here, but have you guys heard the Nosleep podcast? They basically just do dramatic readings of various nosleep stories and it is the shit.
