Watched the annual Declaration of Christmas Peace. After it, the crowd sang the national anthem, which is completely understandable. After that, the orchestra played the honorary march of the FDF. Why is such a warlike song about how "soon the sabre will strike fire and the bullet will fly again, whistling" played right after a declaration of peace?

'Cause peace is boring, man. Everyone was sick of it by the time they finished the first line of the anthem.

Watching a documentary about UK football hooligans/casuals.
It's quite entertaining... I got onto this topic after a series of Youtube videos spurred off by a video someone shared on Facebook, of an angry Scottish dude on a roof. Scottish accents are pretty cool so I watched a few videos of drunk, angry Scots, and naturally led to football. An additional WTF is that it's 1:25AM/2:25AM... not sure why I'm not sleeping.

I guess I would prefer to spend most of the day sleeping in... it's Christmas after all.
Kinda sad that nowadays this is the most dreaded day of the year for me*, when it used to seem so awesome and exciting.

I just had the weirdest dream. I was surfing the web, mostly the forums, and mostly the "What's Going On in Your..." thread. It was mostly about dwarf mode, but it wasn't like it usually is. There was nobody I knew there, but there were new people, like Procyon and Voxhil and someone who looked a lot like Rumrusher. They were all making stories, and all in different formats. One person was making an epic poem about the dwarf king mandating "dig deeper! deeper I say!", another was playing 40d and posting about it, another was detailing in first person a jumping spider man petitioning to join a fortress, another was making a story out of movie clips about a human city, and Rumrusher was talking about how she stuck a god's soul into a cat's body. (Seems pretty in character for her.) I was reading all of it. Actual words and screenshots and all. And it was like nothing I've ever seen! I wasn't just remembering something, I was building off of the genres I've seen (epic poem, etc.) and the types of things one could write about and my subconsciousness was (apparently) making stories! I was very excited when I woke up; I felt like I had stared into my very creativity. Which is very WTF but also happy. I wasn't quite sure where to post this.

I...misplaced my phone in my pocket. It was just a different pocket and left me searching several rooms for it. Totally normal happening.

That said, I found out that my grammar with commas is mistaken. After ALL THESE YEARS! ._.

I don't like tattoos. They look weird to me. Not that I have anything against them per se, just somewhat unappealing.
That said, I feel the same way about piercings. Even ear piercings make me balk a little.

I'm not the only one who feels the same way about them. Yay. They seem unnecessary to me. Fun fact: historically, piercings were a sign of slavery in ancient Rome. They gave owners nice sensitive spots to attach restraints.
