If we no longer had to stick to the sacred pretty number of 50 states, I think Colorado should annex Wyoming, but get to keep their senators. Or at least one.

I've always found the idea that America would take over Canada amusing, due to how unlikely it seems.

They did attempt to right after gaining independence... Of course, Canada is no longer a commonwealth of the UK so it'd be harder to find an excuse to take over it.
