I was thinking that TBF might not have been around long enough to have seen some of the glorious Bay12 flamewars on gender/religion/politics, where you make a seven word post and get ninja'd eight times.

But then, that is only when the keyboard warriors have descended from their dojos on the peaks of mount Moral High Ground and everyone thinks they're right and everyone else is wrong (I do this too), and fortunately that only happens a couple times a year.

Ah, the old olden days, when there was roughly fifteen of us, threads would move at a snail's pace, and any redtext was an excuse to close up the one thread debating the single recent religious event which had happened, because we had derailed the fuck out of it to fight dragons.

That's also true. Is anyone up for a new Russia thread? Or perhaps a thread that was originally about bathroom etiquette in which we argue about how much accommodation of "alternate lifestyles" can be expected without being onerous.

I'm not accepting a new Russia thread until Guardian gets back to us with Soviet engineering deets. North Korea thread's lifeblood has ran cold for a while and, barring any excellency by Kim Stay Puft, that's all I've got going for it.

The debate would hit gender issues by page two and there would be bans by page twenty. That, or it'd somehow just be all the B12ers who've ever worked in cleaning (lots) grousing about people whose recta are comparable to shotguns.

UR made a non-EU Europe thread, which appears to be at normal thread body temperature at the moment: No flames, but it isn't dead or dying either.
