Typically, Cops only grab people going 20 or over(in Tri-State area from my experience), unless they have other issues with the driving/vehicle...

My recommendation is get into the 'main lane' if it looks like they are going to get to the merge at the same time as you are.  They'll have to slow down and go your pace... or be a moron and switch over to the side lane and try to pass you.  That usually doesn't happen though.  (Its best to just slow down and let them pass at that point.)

Alternatively, just slow down so they'd definitely pass before the merge, then switch to the main lane.  (I tend to cut it close.  It gives huge bonus points to intimidation if they are paying any attention.  More then a few times, even if they are going faster, the spooked ones will switch to the slow lane after that, in highways...)

You have a cake. If you eat the cake, you no longer have a cake. If you didn't eat it, you could do something else with it. Give it to someone, eat it later or smoosh it into your enemies face. You don't have to eat it. If you kept the cake, you have options like "I can eat this cake when I want" in the future. But once you eat it, the possibility space collapses. It refers to every situation where if you pick one option then other options are excluded.

Yeah, we get like this sometimes. To be fair, I've never met a Russian who was actually antisemitic (seen a few online, though, so they probably exist), but we have the "Jews and money" stereotype thing going pretty heavy, at least as joke material. It swings wildly from being positive (like when your bro manages to get hella cash and you congratulate him on being so Jewish) to being negative (like when that same bro refuses to lend you some money and you admonish him for being so Jewish). In short, they're supposed to be either savvy or tightwads, or both.
