The trailer seemed pretty cool to me. It's a trailer. I'll withhold judgement until the game's out and I see actual footage, same as any videogame release. Jeez.

They could be really awesome, dogfighting and hunting bombers and such.

Seeing as this IS the internet, can we not discuss this too much... but I gotta get it off my chest somehow...didn't feel like writetube, and my mum was equally disturbed.

On a different note, a 16 year old person whom I have friends in common with and was at my animation course, on the last day, told me he enjoyed lego cosplay...
...had won 2 best in show competitions for it with his friends in the last 2 years or so...
...played as Emmet, with his 19 year old sister playing as Wildstyle...
...didn't have a batman in his group...
...with a 17-ish year old girl playing unikitty with somewhat old-fashioned, lacy, knee-length, bow covered dress....

 

I don't mean to judge, but is this perhaps a slightly odd experience?

Well, it's an odd choice for cosplay, but whatever floats his boat. Doesn't seem any weirder than other cosplayers.

Now, it could be weirder. The three of them could all celebrate their cosplay victories with a three-way while dressed up as lego-people. That, I'd classify as weird.

... look, yoink, the last time I paid attention to lego was more or less before '00. I've seen none of the movies (was there even more than one?), played none of the games, bought none of the actual toys in over a decade. I'm out of touch with lego at the moment. No clue what batman means in relation to lego or lego cosplay.

No, no, I still have a probably 10-20 lbs box of legos sitting around somewhere. Still in touch with the bricks. I just haven't bought any new ones in forever, 'cause that stuff rapidly started getting hella' expensive.

Yeah, I'm with Frumple here.  I know Lego has tie ins with all sorts of stuff, including comic book characters and Star Wars, but not sure why Batman specifically would be a huge deal.
My legos have all gone to cousins now though...  I still kinda want a Mindstorm set but it's just as crazy expensive as ever.  Better to mess around with simulations.

... I don't have a cell phone, either. When I say no camera, I mean no camera or camera equivalent. Entirely without. Could maybe bug neighbors or something, but that has non-zero odds of getting shot, so...
