I don't think that people that buy/play shitty mobile games overlap much with the people that play 10$ indie games. Strangely, they do seem to overlap with the people that buy 60$ (without dlc) AAA games that come out every year.

I do agree that mobile freemium games are cancer, though. Pure money-milking and exploitation of human psychology without any regard for the things that make games good and fun. It's honestly hard not to use stronger words to express my hatred of these games.

This, pretty much.
Idle games are sort of lame, but they're not actively exploiting people and usually free. Which makes them perfectly OK, imo. They don't pretend they're anything but idle games, either.

I guess it all depends on how you look at things.
For example, I'm an optimist, and therefore refuse to see negative numbers, therefore I have to see it has debt increasing.
