The joke is playing on how Hitler was killed by his own hand. His skeleton didn't kill him, the man with the skeleton was the man with Hitler's skeleton (i.e. Hitler).

Nope, the body was never found. There are rumors, and a report of the FBI investigating said rumors, that he escaped to Argentina with a number of other officials and officers who were accounted for, and lived out the rest of his life in a remote manor.
