You don't get it. Layered defense. Allow occasional questionable searches through your internal filter. Browse for vanilla porn and mildly suspect news in private browsing. Browse for freaky porn and downright seditious news and related content from behind proxies. Don't use the web at all for stuff which is genuinely illegal rather than "Oh, welcome to another watchlist, thanks for material we can bring up if you're ever in the public eye," and all that.

I was going to say use the deep web, but I'm not a drug dealer, human trafficker, pedophile, or paranoid 9/11 Truther.

My point was just that something like private browsing would keep it out of your search history so it wouldn't pop back up again later in most cases (or if it makes you feel better, behind several more layers ). Searching for a song that was written about necrophilia is not close to being illegal by any stretch of the imagination in most places in the world. (And with the number of people who have done it, I'd be willing to bet that the amount of work required to dig up your search records from this day should you do something noteworthy in the future would be way to much work for most journalists. Though if you do it after you become noteworthy...) Heck, if you are in the US actually going out and performing necrophilia is only illegal in less than half of the states!
