I agree - it's a shame there's no German lyrics for it. Regarding the second part, I believe it's 'fascists' instead of 'Nazis' - I wonder why Ukraine hasn't started using it yet

You're right, lyrics actually refer to fascists.
Actually, it is in active use... in eastern parts. I heard Novorossyan soldiers sing it on one of those numerous videos they put on youtube.

On the subject of alarm clocks: I worked out a sure-fire way to wake myself on time, back when I actually had a reason not to sleep in. Before this I was prone to sleeping through any and all alarm clocks, and had to rely on others to wake me up.

The solution was simple, I simply used the (rather outdated) nokia phone I had at the time, turned the vibrate on and picking some incredibly loud, annoying ringtone, and then dropped it in my undies as I went to sleep. Now that should wake you up!

Since we are talking about the Soviet songs, here's another famous one. It doesn't have the same effect without the lyrics, unfortunately, so here's an English adaptation of it.

There was one that would find a dark spot, head to it and THEN start beeping, forcing you to get up and look for it, another which had four jigsaw pieces. When it went, the jigsaw pieces would get launched and it wouldn't stop beeping until you put them all back, and there was one that would start flying around the room and beeping until you docked it.

I remember seeing all of these in some magazine or other.

... there. There's actually a flying alarm clock. Well, alarm clock with a flying component. Apparently they start at around 7 USD, not including shipping. What the hell. I mean, that's kinda' neat, but I can only imagine what happens when you combine it with, say, a cat. And anything breakable in the same room. Suddenly Orange Wizard's theme song starts playing.

Though yeah, mi madre has a phone app thing that makes you do brain teasers and whatnot before it'll shut up. Good for the brain and hard to turn off in your sleep!
