Overheard at dinner the other night (from a group of college-age white girls):

"So, my mom found out she's half black but she didn't pass the gene on to me."
"Well, thank god for that!"

Thankfully, I didn't actually overhear this, my girlfriend's daughter did and told us as we were getting into the car. Which was good -- otherwise someone would have been wearing the green curry I was eating because LOLFAIL.

i have no comment, save I wonder how the lass didnt know her mother was 'half black'.  That you would degrade that to filler conversation at dinner is pretty crazy.

  I paid for food and put my wallet in my hoodie pocket.  On the street I did my occasional 'pocket tap' to make sure things have stayed in the places, and my back pocket was empty.  Cue all of my guts sinking into my legs.
