It's generally "poisonous" (though this differs from specie to specie). :3 [Think in terms of pH]
To people, its a relatively mild poison--considering the physical characteristics of what ladybug was there, though.

Oh, they're excellent creatures when the plants are alive, make no mistake....

But, once harvest comes, and all the soybeans & corns are done, those damn things come as hard as they can towards any source of warmth and flood homes & businesses and never leave.  Or clog a tractor's gas intake.

Also, most of the ladybugs you see in the US these days are actually an invasive species from East Asia that's taking over from the native ladybugs. Not as bad as some invasives, but not good either.
