I guess I have a question about hitting people: Why would you hit someone if you didn't intend to cause them grievous bodily harm? I mean, in all seriousness, if I throw a punch at you, I'm trying to break your bones. The only exception is sparring, in which case I'm just practicing technique in hurting people without actually hurting them.

... I've never actually punched someone. I just shout at them if I get mad. It's rare, but it does happen sometimes.
