Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

I have actually made more than 24% of the posts in the Mod Releases subforum. Like, I thought it might have been one of those screwy statistics errors, but I checked out the math and yep, 24.33% of the posts there are me.

That's weird.

About as weird as Meph having 66% of the posts in the Masterwork subforum. He has more posts there than there are posts in the Mod Releases subforum.

I guess we need to get a Putnam subforum, then.

Already did, didn't quite work out for anyone, I got no traffic, Deon was similarly unimpressed by his, favoritism was mentioned and I agreed and it wasn't working besides, so I had mine taken down. Deon's soon after, though I don't know his exact reasons.

EDIT: For some reason, I just imagined a board containing absolutely nothing but posts by me taken out of context from other places. That's hilarious.

EDIT 2: DO NOT TRIFLE WITH MULTIPROCESSING AND RECURSION AT THE SAME TIME

That whole mess going down in Denver with their school board trying to censor the history curriculum to remove the bad parts of American history to be "more patriotic". Who the heck thought that would be a good idea. Thankfully the teachers and students alike in their schools have pretty much gone on strike on protest of it.

Blind adherence//showing only what is deemed good =/= understanding of history or even better, learning from it...

...Or patriotism. At all.

Dear goodness what is that even

The policy also removes anything that would encourage rebellion or action against authority. Which is pretty damn bad, especially considering what most of American history consists of.

Boston Tea Party? Revolutionary War? Pff. Not integral parts of American history.

If there is anything learning history is best for – anything at all – it's to keep from repeating historical failure. That anyone with any authority would choose to prune the bad bits of history tells me that some higher-ups just have no clue. This scares me.

It's flawed in the way if you consider authority making mistakes--which, as a point there, seems to have caused all that.
Like, not caring at all to understand what went wrong or learning from what is wrong. :P

The idea is...understandably acceptable, but very lacking.

'Ah yes, let's be more patriotic by culling these parts of history.' [something something indulges bad thoughts]

...It's not like that's an exposure which exists realistically, and the better idea is pretty much providing...err, counter-information towards untoward acts. :v

Seconding the orange part, but with a higher degree of intensity. If people in power act, though with good intent, yet lacking understanding...it will result in [varying degrees of] catastrophe.
