Spoons can be sharp, baug. Especially if they're older or have minor damage to 'em. Easy to have abrasive parts, or tiny pointy bits, etc.

It's less than a year old and visually in good condition, anyway. Didn't even realize it'd happened, it was all "Why are there red spots in my yogurt all of a sudden oh hey they're dripping off my face"

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I have lately had a bizarre obsession with becoming a Trappist monk. I have no idea why.

@Footjob, you can microwave most grains I've tried pretty easily through the microwave, even if they aren't packaged for it.

I think becoming a monk would curtail DF-playing activity.

Jesuits are nice people. I meet a lot of them at my (Catholic) school, even if it isn't a Jesuit school.

That... depends very heavily on the type of monk. There's some pretty chill monks out there. Trappist one definitely would be curtailed, though, yes.

All the Trappists on the Wikipedia page have their backs to the camera. It's a little eerie to me, for some reason. <_<

Ooh, ooh, lemme guess: every time you hear the word "fighter" you think of some guy carrying a big sword. And whenever you hear "fighter jet", you think of that guy with a jetpack on?

Actually, I first heard the term used as a character class when I was bumbling through a massive wad of NES ROMs and found Final Fantasy I, so it tends to imply an angry-looking guy with spiky red hair.

Meanwhile, 'fighter jet' sounds normal unless I'm in a discussion about DnD.

I don't think I'll ever bring myself to use 'sorcerer' and 'wizard' interchangably, though. :(

To be truthful?

"Fighter" is probably the dungeons and dragons class name I find... BY FAR the most Generic in name only.

"What do you do?"
"I fight"
"Isn't that what everyone does?"
"I fight good"

I think Disgaea also has a class called a "Fighter" but in their case they are meant to be generic.
