bakabt is still up though, because they are the guys who actually focus on archiving rare materials and remove stuff if licensees ask them. Even with that they still have a ton of popular shows. Fancy that just a little communicating with the anime companies gets you left alone for most shows?

Man, I never thought 4chan would go.

It's been a bastion of internet forums for ages. It's seen as a sort of minimal standard-- if your forum was worse than 4chan it was lamer than lame. It's the first big anonymous forum. It was groundbreaking, and frankly kinda deserved the fame.

And it fell.

I wonder what it'll be like to explain 4chan to future generations. I wonder if this is what telling oral history is like.
