Hey, if courts are willing to rule that children have to provide money to their retired parents, then I don't see why the reverse shouldn't be true for somebody going to college. Hell, the latter would even provide for the former.

Indeed this law at least makes sense.

After all American law often sides with children above all else even in cases where an injustice is done to the parent.

So the idea of "Well, if my parents don't want to support me and I clearly cannot support myself.. then they owe me money for being such lousy parents" makes perfect sense.

Mind you, I only said it makes sense.

Teen culture and society these days is just awful in so many ways. It's not the really the teenagers' fault, but it's not really their parents' fault either. Seriously, I'm kinda disturbed by what I hear; people talk really casually about cheating on tests and assignments and stuff, as if it doesn't really matter, when really they're being completely unfair to those who have studied.

I don't see any obvious cure for this issue, and it worries me. I don't want to be one of those people who rants about MORAL DECAY and tells people to get off of his lawn, but I think that there are some legitimate issues that need to be solved.
