Somehow, an extremely right-wing faux-news site (called NewsMax) has acquired my Email, and will not stop spamming me.

But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

What were you rolling for?

Probably damage rolls.

If that's the case, then I've done much worse.

There was one fight where I got zombified because I failed my first attack, causing me to drop my weapon. Then got my ass pushed to the ground by the zombie after I failed to break its grapple, then failed the three saves the GM gave me to resist turning after it bit me. I then failed my first roll after rising back up and charging the party, and ended up falling to the ground again.

Too bad he wasn't playing a system where low rolls are better.

Hmmm

Has anyone ever felt like some Fanfiction fails entirely as fanfiction but somehow stunningly succeeds at being a piece of metafiction... unintentionally highlighting how the creator's mind works and lays it in front of you for you to see?

I remember Christian Humber Reloaded and at first I laughed at how ridiculous the story was and how absolutely oblivious the writer seemed to be at how terrible of a protagonist "Vashblade" was.

Yet... as I kept reading and reading. The story actually became extremely fascinating not because of how terrible it is but rather because... if I read between the lines it felt more like a diary then a story.

Is the traitorous Communist Helg-O-LND anywhere around here? I have orders from Friend Computer that require his presence.

It seems you have discovered the wonderfully meta works known as self-insert, which are mostly enjoyed by pissing in Death of the Author's face.

I do not know for sure, but I think that Friend Computer would accept a communique from Liberty Prime, as he is a fellow fighter in the War On Communism.
