Well, that was anticlimactic :/

So I had to read a book for one of my classes, World Made By Hand. 95% percent of the book is a hard science look at life in a post-collapse New England.

Then, in the last few chapters-

it turns out the resident religious faction is secretly lead by a psychic obese woman who they describe as their "Queen Bee". Then they have to go arrest a local autocrat and one of the religious faction's members is killed in the arrest. The autocrat is found dead in his cell with a wound identical down to the nanometer of that he inflicted on the guy he killed, sans any signs of a bullet.

None of this is given any explanation other than the religious faction's spokesman saying that science doesn't rule the world anymore. What the fuck am I reading.

The most horrifying class feature I've ever written, intended to give your vermin mount the Swarm subtype. The fluff:

At 20th level, your mount is devoured from within by its own larval offspring, which obey your commands as faithfully as their parent and protect themselves with pieces of its leftover exoskeleton.

The happy thing is that the surrounding class is pretty tame. Even an undead mount just becomes impossible to put down permanently, regenerating even from scattered ash. So you're just reading along and then suddenly from nowhere, "OH GOD WAT"

Frickin' arthropods, I tell ya. Why and how did I think of this.

The voice actress for Dora the Explora is the same voice actress for Ollie in Bucket full of dinosaurs... a male.

And yet she does the exact same voice!

I know but when it is the same voice, the exact same voice... it is weird to me.

Same voice actor? fine. Same voice? uhhh... O_O

I do know that most "young children" voice actors of women. In fact the voice of the toddler and children in The Sims 3 is the same voice actress who has a HIGH pitched voice.

Heck the voice actress for the english dub of Minimoon isn't putting on a voice... her voice is that high pitched.
