True, in a situation in which it is very likely based on what you know that you are being pursued with hostile intentions by one or more beings with unknown physical form, mental capabilities, or other abilities, it would make sense to be on watch for abnormalities in the situation so you could decide whether said abnormality was caused by the unkown being(s) pursuing you with malign intentions or not, but to remain that way all the time, even in situations where (by the particular paradigm you have) it is unlikely that you have hostile intentions projected toward you, is called paranoia, which I understand is rather taxing on the mental states of humans.

The problem is that it wouldn't flare on impact; kittens aren't made of glass, after all. The only way a kitten molotov would work would be if you could throw the kitten fast enough for it to splatter on impact, releasing and igniting the contents. There's also the problem of the blood, gore, and wind snuffing out the tail; you'd normally lob a molotov in a relatively gentle arc, after all. So you'd have to soak pretty much the whole kitten before lighting it on fire, which in turn makes it a tad bit tricky to hold on to.
