I was doing laundry, and while loading some clothes into the dryer, my shoulder brushed against the bottom of my mom's staghorn plant. A few minutes later, I was making a sandwich for lunch, and I suddenly became aware of a feeling that something was looking really closely over my shoulder, almost to the point where I could almost see something out of the corner of my eye. Either that staghorn is a sentient, hate-filled being(makes sense, since I don't know how to take care of it), or SCP-372 breached containment and got into my house.

EDIT: Related WTFery -- while perusing the Wiki history of Andorra, I discovered this gem:

Are you telling me that World War I actually lasted past the end of World War II?

Isn't there no such thing as 0 A.D.? It went from 1 B.C. and then to , and then to something A.D.?

More accurately, it will have passed the sun about 6000 times in total.

Technically it wouldn't be exactly 2013 either because there's a difference between tropical years and the time it takes the Earth to go once around the sun.

1.b.c. was not an offically recognized year in 1.b.c.  1 bc is named so because in retrospect, we said if 1ad is 1ad than the year before it must have been 1 bc.

So I just did the maths and the Earth wouldn't have completed it's 2012th revolution, starting with 1.1.0001, until noon on 28th Januaray.

Does this mean that we can celebrate sidereal new year's then?

Also, i think it was every 500 years, there is an extra leap day. Not sure.

I did technically count them, by adding the .25something days to the tropical year.

Ah, i found it out.
Every century a leap year is skipped, but only if that century is not dividable by 400.

(aka, 1900 and 2100 are leap years,  but 2000 is not)

You got that one backwards. 2k was a leap year, 1900 and 2100 are not.
