We need to funnel all of our resources into a massive-scale Orion Project sort of thing to knock Earth out of orbit and into the sun. For our own good.

We need to spend all our resources preparing to conquer the moon. the MOON.

And why's that?

Earth into sun = sun-sized Earth = massive land gain = huge war = chaos = freedom for me.
All by ignoring physics!

Awesome. Freezing to death is awesome. Chance of becoming rogue planet though, living in core.

Wait. We need to do it to the moon as well, so we can wage war on the moon-Nazis and claim their delicious bananas while we plunge towards the sun!

And then there are the ones where protesters manage to walk straight through all that security armed with a pair of wire cutters. And the ones that have catastrophic failures. And all the other industries where massive cut corners and corrupt oversight become evident as soon as something goes wrong. One of the main reasons why I prefer solar over nuclear power is the fact that no matter how shoddy the construction and maintenance is, no matter how many inspectors are bribed, a total failure won't result in fallout.
*cough*Chernoybl*cough*

Not sure what Chernobyl has to do with solar energy.

you don't? well, simply put, Chernoybl was a plot by Green activists to invent a tale aboput nuclear power being bad. But it failed when they realized the Feisty russians were on to their plans, so they poured Solar poison into the enviroment.

Duh.

Chernobyl is what happens when an orbital solar array kept aloft by the power of Cher loses structural integrity.

Incest is bad in the same sense that living near a nuclear power plant is bad: it probably won't hurt anything if it's a one-time deal, but if you keep doing it for generations things will end with extra heads and insanity.

From a page or two back, but it's pretty disingenuous to assume that people's issues with incest is purely a genetic issue, when in reality it's a massive issue with abuse of parental privilege and responsibility, and in many cases is just outright (sexual) abuse. I'm sure there's plenty of anecdotal tales about fathers and daughters falling in love, but the overwhelming majority of incest these days would come from rape and sexual assault, and not at all a consenting act between two albeit creepy people.

Wincest! It's not a thing.
