Unfortunately, heat is merely kinetic energy at an atomic level, vibration between bonds, rotation etc. No mass gained.

Energy doesn't "have" mass (or you'd be implying photons, AKA packets of energy, have mass, which they don't), but it can be converted to mass (e.g. electron-positron pair production from gamma rays). However, in the case of sunlight warming up a building, the energy from the photons isn't converted to mass, it's converted to kinetic energy (translational, rotational and vibrational) on the microscopic level. On the macroscopic level, this is interpreted as heat and change in temperature. In fact, macroscopic measurements of temperature is a stochastic measurement.

And that's why you can't go beyond the speed of light: After reaching it, the energy required to accelerate you even more isn't even enough to accelerate itself.

That's relativistic mass, not inertial mass. It's quite different. m_rel = γm₀, γ = (1-v²/c²)^-0.5 (AKA the Lorentz factor). The more relativistic mass it has, the more energy is required to further accelerate it. But, as previously stated, the inertial mass, m₀ remains the same. It's invariant of velocity. Hence, no actual mass is gained when objects gain kinetic energy.
