S'probably related to the law that police can legally just kinda' walk up to your house and look through the windows and not be violating 4th amendment stricture. Something along those lines.

Actual moral of the story is get goddamn blinds. Good ones.

But yeah, lady should have been the one charged for something, really. I'm not sure what actually happened... there's more detailed articles somewhere out there, iirc.

But then there would be frivolous lawsuits over the law about frivolous lawsuits. You underestimate what people will sue over.

The drawback to this is that someone gets to decide what is frivolous and what is not. Such a thing can be easily abused, similar to how the frivolous lawsuits themselves are abusive.

So you have to ask yourself. Who do you trust more, the judges or the masses?

Maybe it's late, but I just have this bizarre mental image of a guy waking up, getting out of bed in the nude and walking over to switch on the light, when ALL OF A SUDDEN THIS HEAD BURSTS OUT OF THE FUCKING WALL VENT AND SCREAMS, "OH MY GOD YOU FILTHY PERSON! THINK OF THE CHILDREEEEN! AAAAIIIEEE!!!"

...And then he hurriedly turns the light back off and all is silent.
