Here in Vancouver its been uncharacteristically sunny and nice for a September.  I keep thinking of how nice it would be if it stayed sunny until December.

It wasn't cheerful rain though, it was foul-smelling and brings out all of the oil soaked into the parking lots and streets. Although it was a chance to go outside barefoot, which was nice. My shoes have half-dollar sized holes in the heels, so going out with nude feet is just accepting the inevitable.
