What counts as physical activity? Walking around? Bench pressing? Moving your fingers as you're typing on a keyboard?
My waking around these mountainous hills works out to about an hour of Moderate Exercise per day, and my jogging works out to about an hour of Strenuous Exercise per day as well. Just the moderate exercise would be enough to make me lose weight, but the jogging on top of it is going to accelerate the process for sure.
I know this because I was only doing the jogging in my non-mountainous city, and it took me from 215 pounds to 195 pounds in the period between the beginning of April and the end of July. I haven't been around a scale since then, but I continue to feel lighter all the time. I can lift myself up and around on metal bars now, for example. Couldn't do that before.
So the recommended amount of physical activity is 400 minutes per week. Due to now living in the mountains and walking everywhere in addition to my normal exercise, I am now doing 910 minutes per week. Christ, I need to be careful, at this rate I might overshoot and end up underweight.
Wouldn't the muscle buildup render you overweight again but in the other direction? IIRC muscle is heavier than fat so exercise actually doesn't hit your weight so much as your bodyfat index.
Be that as it may, the exercise has been hitting my weight.
