Pubs actually sound like cool places. Go there for a drink and actually eat too instead of having to go to a restaurant before... unfortunately Florida decided that any place that sells more than a tiny bit of food has to be a no smoking area regardless of weather the owner wants it to be or not, so they would probably not be as popular as the real bars.

...You can smoke in bars where you are? O_O
Dear gods, that's horrifying. If smoking in bars was legal here, that'd be pretty much my entire social life up in smoke.

I think they do have to have non smoking sections or something.  I'm not for or against smoking as long as the smokers make reasonable accommodations to keep the non-smokers from dealing with it. 

It more annoys me that the state decides to make the decision for buisnessowners instead of letting them make up their own mind.  Particularly pointless because the law apparently was put in place to protect the owners and workers from the smoke instead of the clientele.   I would think if it bothered them they could make the place no smoking themselves...

I'd most likely end up being the one lonely non-smoker sitting over there, whilst all the people I wanted to talk to were having a ball in the smokers section. It's bad enough as it is, when everyone piles out onto the street to have a smoke, or at this one club I sometimes go to which has a beer garden and if I sit out there talking I end up reeking of cigarettes afterwards.

Someone said the dictionary is changing the definition of "literally" because people use it to mean figuratively.

That isn't the WTF because if that was true, then sure the dictionary should.

The WTF is because if it if it was true then the people who write the dictionary are stinken morons because people use "literally" to mean "literally" and the dictionary writers apparently never heard what a hyperbole is. This would be like if the dictionary changed the definition of "nothing" to mean "something"

I still don't exactly believe it is true because it requires several levels of stupidity.
