Is taking a fake identity of another (presumed) ethnicity racist? To me it seems kind of meh, the same way I wouldn't call a male author using a female-coded pen name sexist. Or is there more to the story than him just faking his name?
It also seems weird to me that he would have "privilege of a white man" unless Marvel was in on it, and knew Akira Yoshida was C.B. Cebulski - which still would be strange as they then willingly broke their own policy. Did they really want him in editorial?

I thought it just meant "sex offender, especially of the pedophile variety". The Cambridge English Dictionary has basically that definition. I suppose its usage can change depending on where you are. To homophobes, "gay" and "pedophile sex offender" tend to be equated (see: "gay agenda"), so I suppose "nonce" could become an anti-gay slur by association. Dictionaries are slow to update, so I think they should reflect usage, not dictate it.

oh no it totally does i didn't actually read this right and made a tasteless joke. yeah nonce basically means pedo, in uk terms. x_x tis not a good name to be
