That's a problem that top scientists, philosophers, and theologians have struggled with for centuries.

Escaped lunatic yesterday, yes. Fond of drink and industry, would be bookish if I read books more frequently, struggling to live with purpose, love to laugh, an aquarius. I like magnets and emotional growth and development and can't understand why the floor is always dirty even though i swept it yesterday goddamnit

I like the careful sidestepping of the "new" phrasing :P I have to say I'm with Vector in that you seem familiar... In any case, welcome or welcome back.

The weather here is weirdly hot, still, and sticky. And a swarm of bees might be going to take up residence in my garage roof. I really hope not.

I heard it ("nonce") being used as a light insult.

E.g "that was an obvious joke you nonce"

It used to be a light insult as far as I know, but I gather that isn't the case any more.

My childhood home had a beehive in some corner of the roof for many years. We found a beekeeper who simply came and took them (for free) before we moved, and I don't think they caused any damage.

It's not like I can't be rid of them if they settle in, it's just a hassle. And my brother isn't exactly allergic, but he responds very heavily to stings, so I don't like having them swarming nearby.

Three years ago I had a nice baldfaced hornet nest above my front door.  They never bothered anyone so I left them alone... they're good predator insects to keep the nuisance bug population down and also pollenate plants.  Mean looking buggers, though.

Another game is causing my USB devices to randomly drop connection for a moment. First it was Sins of a Solar Empire, now Sword of the Stars.

Not sure why just those two(so far), but I have a bad feeling the power supply for my PC is dying. Besides the case, it's the oldest component.

Maybe a good incentive to take another drinking break?

Trying is good. Maybe you can talk to your doctor about dealing with the symptoms of physical dependence?
