Also after recently running down my car battery I've found that it needs a good chargin'
Unsure whether I'd be better of leaving it to run for 12 hours or hook up the alligators from a car-charger box and then just leave the box plugged into the wall.
The latter seems more risky but less expensive.

Not sure why I'm asking here in the hopes of finding a toony-type but will option 2 be kosher?

I don't know a whole lot about cars, but I do know just driving or idling it isn't a great way to charge it, and could leave it undercharged and mess it up. Mostly because that already happened to our car.

The Pakistani metropolis of Karachi has a new mayor. Waseem Akthar, of the MQM Party has been elected into office.
The only problem is that.... he's in jail.
He was arrested last month by the Rangers, a paramilitary organisation with close ties to the Pakistani army.
He is being accused of inciting violence, and supporting fugitive terrorists.

Earlier, Akthar had been escorted from jail to the voting office by a large police force. In the past few days, one person was killed, and multiple injured during unrest in the city.
Paramilitary had stormed the headquarters of the MQM party and sealed it off. This happened, after armed MQM members had occupied a tv station.

The new mayor has stated to the press that he intends to govern the city of more than 10 million inhabitants from an office inside the prison, via video conferencing.
