The year is 2019. Retired Multi-Billionaire Tucker Carval, second richest man in the world, has retired after only 7 years at the head of his company, and through the pulling of several political strings has managed to get his expansive and remote property exempt from federal and state laws, basically setting up his mansion as his own, private, country, with its own security force. Few not employed by Carval have ever been allowed to enter the property, and they've seen little of it since he finally finished construction half a year ago.

Thus it comes to some surprise when he announces that the property has been built as part of a new game show he's always had the dream of running, and that his nationwide search for the first five contestants was about to begin.

The rules of the game are simply. The players will enter his property, and have 14 hours to find and enter his personal study, where he will remain for the duration of the game. If they make it, they are allowed one request, and if it is in his power to give it to them and it costs him less than two billion dollars to fulfill, he will. With one of the largest fortunes in the world and an unparalleled amount of political pull in governments the world over, and a huge say in the governance of several multinationals from the mining to software industries despite his supposed retirement, thats quite a lot.

For season 1, you will be playing the part of the first five contestants to attempt the Carval Challenge.

Give me names, backgrounds, any notable skills or deficiencies, and what you want to bring with you on the bus ride to the estate.

Name: Mari Ferri Derizzy
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Background: Mari is a young woman of hispanic descent, though just a generation ago some French was added to her family line. She changed her name from what was originally given because she decided to add flare to her name, thinking Mari Ferri Derizzy to roll of the tongue easily, while getting people to notice her. Mari has lived most of her life in the Southern most parts of the U.S.A. Eventually moving to the unnamed nation that Carval is searching contestants for. She has a moderate education, only capable of boasting a Bachelors degree in (whatever field you need that includes medical billing). She works in medical billing in a small, unimpressive hospital in the rural regions of southern Texas.
Skills: Mari is fine with numbers, capable of calculating simple equations, the best she can do is multiplying a number x by 100. She enjoys adding and subtracting numbers with decimals. Mari has a slight athletic build, because like most women she worries about her figure. To keep in shape she regularly works out. Mari is also trilingual, capable of conversing in English, Spanish, and French. Spanish being her best language.
Flaws: Mari has a noticeable, but not major, hispanic accent. She is shorter than the average person, and is below average in endurance. She has an anger problem, when she is pissed off she IS pissed off. Usually having fits for the rest of the day, or until she gets her way.
Inventory: Mari wears a necklace featuring a coin with her favorite saint featured on it, the coin is made of silver and is a family heirloom. She wears a somewhat stylish pair of clothes, skinny jeans and a short sleeved shirt. She also wears some comfortable tennis shoes.

A quiet 19 year old person that grew up on the streets, a good runner and hoping to do good, in my case for anyone, in your case, the guys family.

I'm not going to turn this into an argument so this is the last i will say before the edit your guy was stealthy and bad at english/science while my guy was quick and resourceful but physically weak the motivations are both different enough so yeah i really don't see why you bothered making anything of this

Doret, I'm assuming your character is, you know, 20, and not, say, 2?

Anyways, ONE MORE TO GO

Last one:
Duncan McDouglas: 38M
Brings:
Laptop, extra battery, and some rope and some trailmix and water bottles. He's not sure what he's going to be up against, but figures you can't go wrong with ropes and food.

Background:
Worked in software design for a while, then got into business management. Avid hiker, climber, and outdoorsman.

Strengths: Both physically fit and sharp as a tack, he's also determined and strong willed.
Flaws: Unfortunately, he also happens to be an arrogant prick who's used to being in a position of power, and has a fairly short temper as well.

Action
All the contestants find themselves on the bus to the estate. The windows are blacked out, and towards the end of the two hour trip, a video screen comes to life at the front of the bus.

"Welcome, my first contestants, to my game! Many of you have only the vaguest notion of what you will face behind my doors, but I'm sure you know this already. Whatever you wish, if I can provide it, I will. I can make your dreams come true, and all you have to do is come and ask me in person. But a few things you should now -
First, only one of you will attempt this task at a time. Trailers have been set up for the rest of you with all the amenities, and you will wait at the entrance to the property until it is your time to enter. You will be provided with running footage of the person who is taking his turn at the gauntlet. Use this information to your advantage in your own run.
Second, only ONE person will get the chance to ask. Once the first contestant has reached me, the game is over.
Thus, there is a benefit to going early, and a benefit to waiting.
As you are no doubt aware, you have 14 hours to complete the challenge. If you run out of time, you will be disqualified.
If at any time you either leave the property, become trapped or incapacitated so that there is obviously no way for you to continue, or are shown to be breaking any rules I have explicitly informed you of upon entrance, you will be disqualified.
If you sustain serious injury while playing and require a medical evacuation, you will be disqualified.
If you are at any time disqualified, you will be escorted from the game area and sent home.
If, god-forbid, you suffer a life threatening injury, we will arrange to cover all the costs of your burial and will pay out a decent condolence package to your family for their loss. Hopefully, this doesn't happen - but we don't underestimate the potential of human stupidity.

Also, do be aware that anything within the fence line of my property lies outside the jurisdiction of the United States. What I say goes."

With that, the man fades from the screen, and the door on the bus shudders open, and the windows clear so the grand walled estate can be easily seen.

"Welcome to my world. Who would like to be the first to step inside?"

The voice lingers in the air as the passengers get there stuff together and step from the bus. They are greeted by a small army of security officers, and the one who appears to be heading the operation approaches.

"Welcome, contestants! I know you're probably exhausted from your bus trip, but the boss wants to get things underway right away. Do we have any volunteers for being the first person to go inside? If not, we'll pick someone randomly. As for the rest of you, your four trailers are over there." He points his thumb at some luxurious looking trailers, and then waits for a response from the crowd.
