I'm dead but dreaming.  It's basically like being alive but I can't do anything except post on forums and send dreams to bend the dreamers to my will.

As many people know, I died on one occassion. When I died, I found myself in a place filled with many clouds, but I myself upon a long stone road that weaved through them.
The road was indeed very long, and full of perils, but eventually I made it to the end and trained with a martial arts master on his secret planet until I was strong enough to return and save my friends from some dangerous aliens.
Later, they would wish me back to life using a magic dragon.

isnt that from dragonball Z? or am i just crazy?

That was the joke, yes.

Mayday, apparently your joke failed since it had to be explained.

I see death as being stuck in a endless room filled with nothing. You have to fill the nothing with ANYTHING YOU WANT! Something has to happen, an endless dream?
Surprised no one was all like "Death is when God decides you go to Heaven and Hell, and then he picks what level of Heaven or Hell you go to, blah blah blah."
Or maybe you turn into a 'Ghost-type-thingy' and watch as time runs out, then time repeats itself, and your life starts ALL over.
Maybe dimensions have something to do with it?

The god is dead but it still dreams!
A god, a true god, is verb. It alters reality just by being there. It doesn't have to want to, it doesn't have to try. It just does.

Anyway, there's a hypothesis that when your brain starts to shut down the pineal gland releases a huge amount of dimethyltryptamine, a psychedelic that is normally only produced in very small quantities for reasons unknown. A study in the 90's found that individuals injected with large doses of dimethyltryptamine would tend to report hallucinations common to near-death experiances. That, combined with the lack of oxygen getting to your brain would provide quite the pre-death show.

So dying might be a drug trip.

As for actual death? It would stand to reason that it'd be the same as when I wasn't alive last, before being born. That is, nothing.

It's quite an unusual concept though, if you think about it. Not having any sense of time, not even there being time.

I am now picturing for myself stoned, old people lying on their deathbed.

The thing is, people who have been brought back from "clinical death" don't know what it's like to die either.  They know what it's like to pass out from oxygen deprivation.  Which is why it stops hurting right before the end, because the brain is the seat of consciousness and you loose feeling outside of your head right before you wink out.  That in mind, I suppose dieing wouldn't feel like anything.

I think I can pretty categorically say that Captain is wrong on this one. I myself was killed in Vietnam while trying to strike down my closest friend who had gone mad and starting killing civilians.

I seen your friend's necklace, it's real nice.  I got me one made of noses.

It probably feels like nothing. Literally, the absence of feeling.

I suppose it would be like sleeping, except you never wake up.

Can't say much more than that to be honest.

If something does happen, you wont remember anything from the life now. Only what you do on the other side of your brain. unless your brain plays a bigger role.
