Elves hat bronze?

So, the elves showed up, and I tried trading with them, and they got all offended and left.

The two items I offered them were both bronze weapons, which I thought were elf-approved. If I was wrong, nevermind, otherwise this sounds like a bug. The elf even said something about "that poor creature"

Maybe they get angry about the wood used in forging it?

Maybe there should be an option to lie and tell them I used magma?
Actually, I didn't even make these items, some careless humans left them laying around their town - but that's besides the point.

Playing around with the save (trying to get them to trade for anything)
They also don't seem to like my iron chainmail armor, and when I move flint mechanisms to the trade depot they just plain disappear. :-(

AHA! The items I mentioned were all engraved and adorned with bone and leather. Stupid humans! Anyways, that seemed to solve that problem. The mechanisms disappearing seems legitimate though - but I wasn't able to reproduce it in a second save (that time it worked). *shrugs*
