So, I pierced the Hidden Fun Stuff, everything as usual.

Demons spawned, as usual. But that's when the usual stopped. My miner just kept on mining the stuff, he wasn't attacked at all. I checked the units list, and the demons had all gotten scared and committed suicide or something, there were none left!

Once I breached it I checked the units and there were demons. Where did they all go?

But at least I get all this free adamantine.

Actually the 3 demons attacked. My unarmored miner with no military experience and a copper pick easily cut two down before dying. Then my other 6 miners killed that one.

Apparently, the tunnel I dug to down there is  completely flooded. No one can get down there to finish off the last demon.

Maybe they are all stealth. And sometimes there are really just a few deamons to appear to check if they are sleath drop down a few cats.
