Combine Metamancey nd Cryomancey to turn a squirrel into a still living ICE SQUIRREL (that can't melt)

Nah, squirrels don't regenerate tails (as far as I know), but many lizards do. It should be easier to find lizards than starfish. Assuming, of course, you don't kill all of the lizards in your area with your aura of cold.

You need to make giant squirrels that grow reactive flowers instead of hair.

its not really an aura of cold yet, just enough to irritate a really touchy Psionic shopkeeper. lizards should be fine.
You get a better idea than waiting for the Blue Flowers to grow back. turn squirrels into Blue Flower sheep! You go out, snowballs at the ready, and stun every squirrel you see, except the 3 or 4 you missed. You then put all 20 or so stone caged inside an air bubble, and put the air bubble inside the bag of holding. You see the dwarves making excellent progress, B4 of Experimental Tower (your original one) is dug out and smoothed, the secret hallway is dug (which means all the underground floors are done), and L4 of your aboveground tower is being built as you watch. Woo!

You get home, take a nap, eat, drink, and start working. you take the air bubble out and pop it, which dumps them all on the floor of the 2nd deepest level.

After 5 abominations that could barely be called squirrel are knocked out of their misery via icicle, you're tired already. Metamancy is annoyingly quick to use up your magic, but theres SO MUCH you could do with it! You go to sleep.

I say, make the sqirels abaut 10 times biger, then change just the fur to flowers while trying to avoid affecting the rest.

The elves are in Yonder Forest. (named that because of how it never seems to be very close to anywhere no matter how long you've been walking.) you can get in there if you want, though.
