Yo, i have a quick question about chainmail.  i've searched the boards, and the wiki and havn't had luck finding an answer, especially how simple it should be.

anyways, my question is how do i make chainmail, i can make steel, iron everything, and i can even collect chainmail off fallen enemies.  however the game won't seem to allow me to make for some reason, and i dunno why.  i've tried the manager, and the only chain option i get when i search is just to main plain old chains. 

was curious if i'm missing something, or its a bug or something

You want the one that goes under the breastplate, right?

What you're actually looking for is the <metal type> mail shirt.

and simple metal leggings would be the chainmail leggings then?

whats messing me up is the fact that i can loot actual chainmail, but can't build it, so i wasn't sure if simple mail was chain or not.

Yeah, <metal type> leggings is the chain leggings, however as far as I know those *don't* layer with greaves and greaves are all around better to wear.
