I suggest someone dump one of each kind of weapon into Catalyst's "cell" and start her training in her own little militia squad.  And then forget about her.  Somewhere down the line, someone can accidentally let her out for FailCannon !!Fun!!

Because only in Dwarf Fortress would you train a killing machine with the sole purpose of slaughtering your entire population.

Well what's more entertaining?  Leaving a seditious traitor to the dwarven civilization who can corrupt other dwarves onto her side locked and waiting out their death in a sealed room while doing nothing except tantrumming, OR dropping weapons (optionally; adamantine ones along with armor) into Catalyst's cell and training her so that when !!Fun!! inevitably breaks down her door  (let's face it, this IS FailCannon), she leaps out determined to be the last dwarf standing?

Now I know that the game wants me dead because anytime anybody picks up a mechanism they suspend the linkage of the bridge to a lever <_<

Then she saves the Fort, only to slaughter all migrants? Perfect plan!

Darvi, did you try checking if the dwarves can actually walk to the bridge? It may be cut off somehow, like that one last time when the stairs disappeared. Was that in Battlefailed or here? It's all one big mess for me.

They regularly visit the traps right in front of it to reload them, so I don't think that's it.

I had a similar problem when the loyalty cascade was happening, they were canceling jobs, "interrupted by dirty traitors" but there were no announcements.  I think somehow the job cancel spam is muted.  Maybe if you can turn it back on you can get a clue as to why they won't do as you say.

Stupid question, but does anyone have the mechanics labour enabled?

Iirc, you're trying to connect a lever to a raised drawbridge? For whatever reason, a drawbridge must be lowered to connect a lever, or you get that cannot find path message (maybe because the mechanic wants to stand on the bridge while working?). You'll have to find the original lever or deconstruct the bridge.

Since I'm posting, I may as well say that I loved battlefailed, and failcannon is just as good (or, you know, just as very very horribly bad).

Failcannon can't end like this!  If it has to end, it needs to be in fire, screaming and Catalyst storming the halls naked save for a sock in each hand and murder in her eyes.

Darvi seems to have dropped off the face of Aluonra in the past three days. PMing derekiv.

If Darvi updates before derekiv claims the turn, we'll let Darvi finish.
