We'll update the project server. There will be no loss of information there.

The open server will be reset.

We will not have any mods enabled, since it will probably be several days before anything works properly and we will most likely see version 1.89h before all the bugs are fixed.

The guy I was talking to about that project has vanished. I'll try to get in touch with him, but I think that having an open world would be best. Since there will probably be an update drought after this, I'll still be looking into the sidescroller server later on.

Please, when operating on the project server without safties, keep in mind that fire will burn things down.  I suggest that all fires be extinguished prior to update.

Since the current city project seems to have ground to a halt, what about starting a new one on Project? I think it'd be a good way to bring some interest and activity back the server, and it'd be a good way to commemorate the new update release.

Besides that, I do honestly think it's about time for another project. It's been a while - certainly long enough for us to switch to something we're more enthusiastic about, no?

I have an idea for a town/city.. But it requires a 10x10 hole all the way down to the rockbed.. thousands of iron blocks.. Many ladders, plenty of redstone and sticky pistons. And lastly.. a lot of patience.

edit: Oh and bucketloads of magma/lava!

Seeing as how we couldn't stay committed long enough to finish this project, I very much doubt we'd be able to complete a city much bigger (considering the phrase "a lot of patience").

Well, it was nothing but an idea. 
I managed to do something on a much smaller scale, and thought it would be neat doing on an MP server.
