I just think this idea doesn't bode well with the city theme. A non-animal more-technical heraldic symbol could be better.

I narrowed my claim down, so put me down for the un-numbered area circled in red. I'm not sure what I'm building yet, but it will probably have something to do with being so close to the mouth of the bay and light house.

As for the roads, you should probably log in and look at the terrain in those areas - ingame, it's an extremely steep hill, and the southern roads would be passing right over Underhaven.

I really like the semi-island we're on. Maybe we could make it a full island and/or start adding new settlements to it.

Also, something just occurred to me: food would be a lot more useful if you spawned at 1 health.

So someone burned down the birch forest around the quarry. I was out there earlier in the day and didn't notice any fire or damage so it must've occurred somewhat recently. Based on the surrounding growth and the fire burn direction I believe it was another fire/magma accident. This resulted in the destruction of the rail-line out to the quarry and the loss of a significant number of birch trees. However the surrounding area was mostly artificially planted in an unforested area so there were no firestorms this time.

I've replanted a lot of the trees and repaired the railline, but the costs of repairing both this most recent tragedy and my accident with the magma bucket have eaten away the quarry's stockpile of saplings. If someone ends up with a surplus of saplings, it would be awesome if you would make them public.

Until we know more about the behavior of nether portals, do not build them in the city on the project server, and get approval from the TDTC (Trans-Dimensional Transit Commission).

There are no restrictions on the open server.

It might be interesting to provide placable portal blocks for people making oddly-shaped gates.
