Well, barring any further developments, might we get a Day Shortening please?

Listened to what sooner? Well over half the reason you're being lynched is your refusal to make sense.

Please illustrate what we should be listening to, and I'd be happy to.

Also, you're way overreacting, since we've been getting at least 1 Scum per night, and are most likely down to 1 Scum now.

So you're pulling a ToonyMan.

Shorten the day then. Even if he's not scum, I don't think we're going to get anything done with him looming there.

Hmmm...  Noon my time.  I won't be back from work before then.  I'll be getting Janus' actions tonight, or trying to.  See you in the morning.

The Scribe's Tally Sheet
Jokerman-EXE: Eduren, Lonewolf I, Solifuge, Toaster

Jokerman glares at all of you as Eduren and Lonewolf escort him up to the gallows.

"You'll regret this! You're letting the monsters win by killing me!" he moans.

"Oh, shut up." snaps Lonewolf. "I'm tired of hearing that. You damn cultists are crazy, and I'll be glad when the lot of you are gone!"

"I'm not a cultist!" cries Jokerman as the rope is looped around his neck.

"We'll see about that." says Eduren, grimly, and kicks the stool out from under his feet.

Jokerman's neck snaps quickly, and his eyes quickly glaze over.

Once you're positive he's dead you cut him down and inspect the body. No strange markings, no amulets. Nothing.

Eventually the Court Priest is called in to perform rites on the body, and he sadly confirms that Jokerman was telling the truth. He was, in fact, a Sexton. And it seems he was nothing but an innocent man after all.

Troubled, you head home.  It seems this nightmare is not yet over.

It is night. Send in your actions!

You gather again. Few of you left, now. And IronyOwl is not among you.

With grim looks at one another you head off to his house. The door is open, but there is no sign of him. Inside his study you find his chair knocked over and scrolls scattered about. A struggle, perhaps? Or a hurried exit.

Either way, he is not here. It is fairly obvious from the stacks of tomes and shelves of scrolls that he was a Sage, as he’d claimed. You can only wonder at what he was working on.

But you’ll have to do without his advice, for now. You head back to the square, to decide which of you will die next.

Day 5 has started. It will go until ~5pm Pacific Wednesday.

Okay guys, I believe I bear bad news.

I was attacked last night, by a shadowy monster of some sort, with glowing orange eyes. Being a knight, I wasn't killed, and drove it off... but since Irony also died, this suggests that we have 2 scum, or a scum and another 3rd party role hanging around yet.

I need everyone to tell me what they did last night, and why they did it. Also, Archangel, get out here today or hang.

OK, firstly, I've haven't posted for what, two weeks, and haven't logged on for large parts of that period, yet I haven't been replaced? That's interesting.

Secondly, the D2 posts Toaster pointed out:
Of these posts, this contains a vote for Lonewolf using reasons other people had used and explained. Here, you assert that Lonewolf's vote for Mr. Person is him trying to direct attention away from himself. Now, I agree that his attack looks feeble, but you used a passive, indirect method to attack him for it, something which I most definitely do not agree with. Here, you ask Solifuge a question, ignoring Lonewolf's new posts, and tell IronyOwl that “The only way we should be proving we're town is by negation- when we find out all the scum and put a noose on them, then everyone else proven town.”  This is Toaster trying to garner approval and look useful. Here you tell me that timezone is a crap excuse, despite me say it means I can't post much, not that it prevents me from posting at all. You also accuse me of trying to evade contributing. I wasn't, I just really couldn't make myself analyse that day, and my efforts D1 speak in my favour in this.

The only thing I feel need to comment on from D2 is that I notice that in the argument between Irony and Joker on page 12 and the start of page 13, they were arguing the same point.
Everything below this line was written after I caught up.

Over D3, Toaster increased the amount of original opinion and analysis he posted, slightly.
Actions:
N1 Lonewolf -> Mr. Person
N2 Solifuge -> Jokerman, was redirected to Joker
N3 & 4 no action
Both my redirects were the person I though most scummy to someone I else I thought scummy, the first no-action was due to not having caught up and the second was due to not having logged on for several days.
Based on gut feeling, his lack of original comment, the fact that the he only voted for Toony when it was clear he was going to be lynched, and, I think, placing the last or second last vote on every townie who has been lynched, I think Toaster is scum.

Also, here is a visual explanation of the main reason why I have been prevented from posting, spoilered for size.

Okay guys, I think I figured things out (during a long car ride).

TL;DR version: Lonewolf is third party and needs to be lynched today.

Long Version: There are several scenarios possible from the data that we have available. The big drivers for the following assertions are the atypical behaviors of both Jokerman and Toonyman. As you'll notice, their actions don't really add up when you factor in their alignments.

(From most to least likely)

Scenario 1 : Toony was telling the truth, Jokerman is a Naive Sexton(Unknowingly), and Lonewolf is third party. This is most likely because it explains everyone's actions. Lonewolf was made a third party without my knowledge. Toony was trying to eliminate a third party. There was no real reason for him to accuse me and Lonewolf unless he was telling the truth. The reason that Jokerman had a different version of events is because he is Naive (Always told that nothing happens). His naivete is also the reason that he got lynched. He never saw Lonewolf raid Mr.Persons grave and through his own stubbornness but the final nail in his own coffin. The scum is one of the remaining players.

Scenario 2 : Solifuge is lying and is scum trying to buy time.

Scenario 3 : Solifuge is telling the truth, and the third party is not Lonewolf.

I believe Scenario 1 to be most likely because it explains the events of the past few days very well. Scenarios 2 & 3 don't really explain the actions of Toony or Jokerman.

In Scenarios 1 & 2 the best course of action is to Lynch Lonewolf. Ether he is a third party and we can sort out who is scum at lylo tomorrow, or he is town and we lynch Solifuge the next day. Scenario 3 need not be worried about, because if true, the town is royally fucked.

Unvote. Glad of you to join us, in whatever sodden condition you may be Archangel.

Eduren, how would Lonewolf flipping town condemn me, when you're the one assuming he was my attacker? Given the flavor, I don't think my attacker was a zombie as Toony said. It's eyes and claws glowed with "orange energy", which to me hints at something demonic... though I could see something evil coming back within the body for an unpious priest. Also, you suspect Jokerman was a Naive Sexton? I see where you're coming from with the theory, but how certain are you that Toonyman was telling the truth? Also, do you have any reason to suppose that Naive Sextons can exist in this game?

Anyway, Mr. Warlock, whom did you speak with last night? Toaster, what do you have to say about Archangel's claims?

If Lonewolf flips town, it means that we would have one of two situations. a)you lied or b)a third party is still among us. In the second case, the town can only hope for a crosskill, and otherwise is dead. So we can ignore the second case as there is nothing we can do to prevent it at that point. That leaves us with you (probability wise).

Of course this is all assuming that you agree that lynching Lonewolf today is the best course of action.

As for your doubts of my Jokerman theory, I have yet to ask Meph of the possibilities of a Naive Sexton. Of course the reason I thought it unnecessary is because if Jokerman is a true sexton, then Lonewolf would have been lying about his actions that night. Either way, hes scum.

Unless you can come up with a better explanation for Jokerman not seeing Lonewolf that night, then we can assume that Lonewolf is third party.
