In memory of how far Dwarf Fortress has come, I have came up with the great* idea of having a DF2D succession game.

*Great is defined as:
Not the worst idea ever.

The learning curve of the df forums should be equal to that of df itself.

My doctor told me to do whatever I please.  He my or may not have been stoned at the time.

Sure, I'll join in, though I'd like to take the third turn at the earliest.

I have been playing DF since about late summer last year. My earliest version was late 40d. As such, I have absolutely no experience with 2D and haven't even read all that much about it. I would have no clue what I was doing and wouldn't know anything about the game.
I am so in.

I have no experience with DF2D and will have to run it in Wine because I'm a hipster who listens to all of his music on FLAC ripped from vinyl.  Count me in.

Ok, so we have 8 people. I thihk we will go when we get 10 - 12. The order will be randomly chosen with the exception of those who asked for a specific range or number. We need someone to gen the world. Once the world is genned, we will chose were to embark (LIMITED CHOICES YAY)
and what to embark with. I will also wan't someone to send an adventurer to make sure that all the civs are alive. You can start giving embark location/embark item suggestions now. Also, how long should turns be?

A few rules I wan't to enforce:
☼No digging FUN rocks till I give the ok. (probably when we are all board with it.)
☼If you NEED graphics, I ask that you somehow remove them when your done with the save.
☼No mods
☼ Wolf
☼ No items
☼ Final Destination
