Yup, the same guys that picket soldier's funerals, and the same guys that hold signs that say "God Hates [Homophobic slur]" are picketing comic-con. Why? Because reading Batman and Superman is idolatry, and will lead to the demise of the US.

Lastly, a quote from the Church leader:

Thoughts on this? I personally think that Fred Phelps is admitting that Batman and Superman are Gods.

I hope nobody tries to do something stupid like "epic troll" them or interrupt their protest in any way. Of course, this being Comic-con and the overlap between "people who go to comic-con" and "4channers" is pretty high, there will be lots of "epic irl trolling".

And the result? The trollers have fallen right into the trap, and have basically given the Westboro Baptist Church money...

There are still people who protest comic books?  Fuck there's not that many people who still read comic books.  These guys are so far behind the times it's hilarious in its own right.

Wait a minute...  Barack Obama likes Spiderman and Conan...  More of that dang racism, that's what this is.

A group of people should make a giant gold statue of Superman and Batman, carry it into Comic-con on an alter and wear nothing but loin cloths.
