That's because Bruce doesn't have to kill. Dick Grayson kills only when he loses it, Azrael kills as a matter of fact, and Jason Todd is a psycho zombie bitch.

Why are we leaving out the option of Batman talking Rincewind into surrendering? I doubt Rince would want this fight, and Batman doesn't want to kill an old, harmless man. They'd come to a truce, and let Batman win the match because he's better at this sort of thing.

EDIT: And Bruce in continuity is mid-30s at oldest, going by his comic printings is unfair, considering all the times Superboy Prime has punched the wall of reality.

Holy shit, I wake up and this thread is 17 pages longer and the voting system had changed. Gah.

Before I catch up on pages and pages of what are doubtlessly clever insults, I vote Batman. Obviously. He could take out a competent Wizard without breaking a sweat.

Exactly, they are competent... There is a phrase that goes: "great minds think alike" which I have always taken to mean that a perfect solution is predictable. Batman's power lies in making predictions and preparations.

Rincewind is not a competent wizard. Rincewind is an expert at surviving all forms of dangerous situation who drags some of the most lethal forces in a universe in his wake.

There are two scenarios:
1: Batman somehow acquires data on Rincewind, engineers Rincewind's escape, somehow interrupts it before any deusexmachina interferes, kills Rincewind, and then dies in the ensuing cosmic horror scenario.

2: Rincewind runs away halfway through Batman's dramatic entrance, luggage breaks through reality and eats Batman when Batman tries to be a hero and stop it.

Vote: Rincewind Wins: They are both patrons of pragmatism. Batman is to DC what Rincewind is to Discworld, and Discworld is deadlier than DC...

But if Rincewind dies, there is presumably a minute fraction of time before that event and the destruction of reality, so Batman will still have killed him first.

Also, he's Batman. He has a contingency plan for the destruction of reality. I don't know what it is because I am not Batman.

Does Rincewind even still have his one spell? He spoke it back when the disc was about to smash into a red giant, and caused a number of baby world turtles to hatch from its planets. And the spell was never mentioned after that. No, I don't think the world will end when Rincewind dies.

Of course, he probably won't die. He's ran away from worse things than Batman. However, I think that if Rincewind runs away, he forfeits. Batman wins by default.

Well, there is the matter of the Luggage. Whatever. I'm sticking with Batman.
