Strange Mood dorf needs cloth.

I got a possessed child that wanted clothes, I had lots of cloth, but he didn't created the artifact and died...And now the same thing is happening, my clothier wants cloth but don't get some...I need some help right now!

There's plant-cloth and silk-cloth; a moody dwarf might demand either.

How soon is it until the next caravan? If its a month or less, then the dwarf may be able to hold out.

Does the dwarf specify a certain kind of cloth? Like plant fibre cloth or silk cloth?

Do you have some thread available, then use a loom to weave that. If you have breached the caverns, you should be able to grab some silk thread which can be made into cloth.

At least he didn't go beserk.

I don't know if it works in .31, but one way to try and buy time is to have the dwarf repearedly collect the stuff he needs by forbidding the stuff he already collected or is on the way back. Alternatively, grab some cloth ASAP if you didn't embark with it and theres webs to collect down in the caverns.

If there are any spider-webs around, you can make your own silk-thread. Just watch out for Giant Cave Spiders.

I got a dwarf that needed dye. He went insane literally while I was trading with a caravan that had dye.  ::)
