Looking for Stress Relief/Zen games
« on: June 26, 2010, 11:44:26 pm »

The title says it all. I am angry, and do not feel like thinking. Who has some good games that don't require thinking?

I don't know if you can really call this a "game"; it's more of a story with a forced pace (intended to make you reflect on things instead of buzzing through it). Some of it's a bit creepy, too, but hey, maybe you'll find it enjoyable (or not): http://ded.increpare.com/~locus/queue/

He makes a lot of weird stuff in general.

I found flOw quite relaxing, though too simplistic.  It's atmospheric / ambient, simple controls, simple gameplay, and it's very hard to actually lose.

Play it here or here or other places.

I found that downloading the flash .swf file to my desktop, then double-clicking that to run it, then pressing F11 to maximize it, was the most comfortable way to play.  That's because if you're playing in a browser window, you lose control if you move the mouse cursor off of the flash window area.

I'm realling liking the 'Falling Sand Game'.

I'll try all of those suggestions. They look good :)

I found Doodle God to be very relaxing and fun to play. It doesn't require thinking if you simply click on everything mindlessly, but if you do end up thinking it's on a very "primal" level.

Usually I play on at least normal mode but I find Minecraft on peaceful mode or on creative very relaxing but I'm sure you have already heard of it.

Minecraft can certainly be a relaxing game, just digging and digging for hours.
Also, building fortresses is fun.
